D&D 3E/3.5 Knightfall's Interactive v.3.5 SH Campaign Concept

Okay, despite the naysayers:p - I'll start you off with my votes:

Foxhaven (I like the sound of it best...)

Abenner - Human fighter [male]
Esther - Human cleric [female]
Erastos - Half-elf rogue [male]
Phoibe - Halfling scout [female]
Titos - Halfling wizard [male]

:)

Just for fun...

Foxhaven, in Gaelic, is "sionnach tearmann" (literal, word for word translation), and would be pronounced shon-akh teerman.

Many names get a mythic feel if translated into Gaelic or Welsh. Tolkien based his Elven tongue on Welsh, which may be why I like it so much. :)

Just a thought.

I believe the above described could be at least mildly entertaining as long as you accept SOME of the more humorous suggestions that are bound to occur.

However, this does not seem to be what you are actually doing. It seems that you are actually only looking for input on "nouns" - what things are named and what new to bring into the story. This is boring as all hell. I don't give a darn what you name the city and I am not wasting my time voting on it. I don't mean this to be rude in any way - I am just telling you honestly how strongly I feel about it.

If you go back to the original concept - put the party in a situation and ask how they should resolve it - I will happily participate and see if it is enjoyable.
Don't worry about being rude. Critiques are welcome, as long as they are constructive. However, at this point, I haven't begun the core process. I wanted to build some background and people an opportunity to chime in as well.

Think of where I am now as "pre-production." :p

If this part of the process doesn't appeal to you, it's fine. Hopefully you'll come back when the core concept is ready to begin.

That name is my favorite of the 5. I'm definitely going to use it for something. I might use it as the substitute name for the DUNGEON module's Ashtartown if I don't use it for The City.

I also like Wrand.

Abenner - Human fighter [male]
Esther - Human cleric [female]
Erastos - Half-elf rogue [male]
Phoibe - Halfling scout [female]
Titos - Halfling wizard [male]

:)
Interesting choices... :hmm:

Thanks for that.

Perhaps Sionnach Tearmann will be the elven name for the forested region around Foxhaven. Also, I should point out the web site from where I chose the character names -- Behind the Name. It's a great site...

Behind the Name: Biblical Greek Names

So, I've decided that I'm definitely going to use [MENTION=59506]El Mahdi[/MENTION] 's choice of Titos for the male halfling wizard. I haven't decided on his other choices. I'm leaning towards using his suggestion of Erastos for the male half-elf rogue as well.

However, I kind of want to use the names Tabitha and Matthan. Perhaps Matthan for the half-elf and Erastos for the male human fighter. :hmm:

I'm going to use Tabitha for the other halfling.

If Tito's a wizard, he's be better served by swapping Con and Cha.

If Tabitha's a scout, she'd be better served with a 14 in Int to take advantage of all those wonderful scout skills. Dump either Str or Dex if going for a ranged or melee scout.

I agree with Dandu, a low Int for a Scout is going to really hold back her skill choices. Your rolls were actually pretty bad for that one, enough so that the average is less than 13. As the PHB states, it's recommended to reroll if you get into this situation.

Assuming you don't reroll though, that extra Con isn't going to help her as much as a decent Int score. I'd recommend:

Str -> 12 - 2 = 10
Dex -> 14 + 2 = 16
Con -> 10
Int -> 15
Wis -> 14
Cha -> 8
