I cannot help but comment that this is not a difficult feat at all.

Both reviews I've read commented that though Michael Bay still make cardboard characters, for the first time he puts enough work into them that we care. However, the bulk of praise is that Michael Bay may have been born to make 3D movies. They claim he does more with the technology than James Cameron, and the final hour is amazing.

WE'll see.....I need to find a way to get to the theatre to see it...if my wife will agree. Maybe I can trade babysitting during Harry Potter for babysitting for Transformers

I went in expecting it to be a headache-laden pile of garbage and was pleasantly surprised - it was just a pile of garbage.

Much less smirkery and corny dialog, which made it better than the first in my eyes (didn't see the second).

I can say three nice things about Transformers 3: It gave Peter Cullen a job, it did NOT give Megan Fox a job, and it was not as bad as the second one.
