Did Chessex used to make a thicker mat?

I have a current model double sided mega mat from Chessex. (I like it so far).

I seem to recall seeing - somewhere I can no longer find - images or video of what appeared to be a thicker chessex (one inch square grid) mat . It was at least twice as thick as my chessex megamat.

The questions:

Did chessex used to offer a thicker one inch grid mat? If my recollection is correct it was whiter than the current oyster color.

Is the mat I am describing from a different vendor?

I own four Chessex battlemats: one single-sided square mat, one single-sided hex mat, a smaller double-sided mat, and my double-sided megamat.

The single-sided ones are older and they are indeed thicker, though I wouldn't say they're twice as thick. Close to it, but not quite. Color-wise they look the same to me, but all of them are quite old by now, so it could just be due to the passage of time.
