Pathfinder 1E Could Pathfinder take D&D's place...

You got me there........(((Digs and prepares a grave for D&D while wearing a grim reaper costume)))).......

Like I said.......4th ed. isn't for me.......I think it sucks.....which is why I play PATHFINDER.......not because the world is a better setting, not because the story fluff is better.........ITS BECAUSE ITS RPG GAME SYSTEM IS 95% IDENTICAL TO D&D 3.5......the little tweaks they enacted made it better in fact.

I actually loved the forgotten realms game setting. And when they completely changed that I lost interest completely.

That isn't how ellipsis work.

I used multiple ellipsis so the plural form of ellipsis" is " ellipses" (pronounced "ee-lip-sees)

Don't.......grammar........check......me......Bizz-natch.........Hehehehehe

I'm just saying........

Good times......

I don't think that's a proper use of a hyphen!

I see the only benefit from 3.x (vs 2e) is the attack system, the armor class being a higher number rather than a low table/chart/THACO (I'm still calculating mine..) which...if you had kept all the other 2e sides and what not...would be a great game.

What's that? there is something very similar to what I said?---infomertial voice
that's right! The Dungeon Crawl Classic Role Playing Game

which would also be good if not for the crazy dice, however I still want to get a copy and a set of Zocchi dice to go with.

Which brings me back to my "D&D is what you make it" speech.

I think for D&D to be fun, all I need is a few friends, some horrible-for-you-snacks, dice, pencil and paper, a dungeon and POSSIBLY a dragon. The rest is kinda, meh, not to say rules aren't cool or spells or classes, but ultimately, what will take the place of D&D will be D&D, you cannot kill it, it's like the metal (Tenacious D reference here), many have tried to defile the game, but the game was much to strong.

That was of course until one dark and stormy night...

Hey guys! I've got an idea!

D&D will never die, nothing will ever takes its place, however I still stick to my spells per day, lack of healing surges and even the ascending armor class era, you can keep your powers and you're THACO, just give me gold, girls, and good weapons...maybe a goat too...or some land....OR a vorpal sword, that would be sweeeeeet

Speaking, as a long time fan of the ellipsis... I would have to agree - though the rules that I use may, perhaps, be archaic.

I use three dots for an ellipsis, followed by a period if the ellipsis is terminal....
