"Okay, I have a plan," Halleck said. "We activate this shield, use it on the dragon, kill the dragon, take the amulet, and destroy the shield."

At this looks of dismay, he continued, "Of course, the shield is probably indestructible, but we could just put it in a chest full of stones and throw it into the ocean. This is the stuff of heroes! The singers will sing our names... well, one of our names, anyway. I nominate myself, for I do have an entire continent of Goblins to deal with back in Allaria. The needs of the many, as they say."

Brother Buchta looks at the warlord. Well, someone has to hold it. If there are no objections from everyone else, you are the chosen one. The cleric smiles as he hands the shield to Halleck.

"We found the orb we didn't know what to do with. Is it one of these?" Nementah produces the green-gold orb they found in giant's lair.

OOC: I'm continuing for sure.

The cleric shows an expression of shock and excitement. Carefully taking the orb from Nementah: This was not the orb that Navio mentioned to me. It is another! He looks at the shaman and then back down at the orb. Where did you find this one? Nementah explains the encounter with the alpha wolf, all the while the cleric listening intently. Yes...yes! This must be the Orb of Nature. He takes the orb and places it over various slots on the shield until it slams into place like a metal on a strong magnet. The metal glows a dark forest green, then begins to liquify. As it does so the shield turns a feint green as the liquified orb fills the slot on the shield. It then begins to solidify again, but not before a piece of liquified metal pops upward from the shield, moving straight up from the shield to the eye level of Vimak. All eyes of the party look onward at the liquid orb fragment, which now begins to reform itself into a ring. Once done, it moves towards Nementah, stopping above Nementah. As the shaman opens one of his hands, the ring falls into it.

OOC: Nementah, what do you do?

Skalisss produces the orb from his pack and gives it to the Cleric. "At lassst we underssstand itsss purpose". he comments as he hands it over carefully.

OOC: Skalisss is in.

The paladin gives the orb to the cleric. He studies it for a moment and then pronounces This must be the Orb of Justice...Yes...I'm sure of it! He performs the same motions with the orb, it latches onto a separate notch. As before, another blob of liquid metal moves into the air. This time the liquid metal forms a ring which moves towards by the paladin. The dragonborn open his hand and the the ring drops into it.

OOC: Skalisss, what do you do with the ring?

Nementah looks at what happens in wonder. When the ring drops, she puts it on her finger.

 

[Neurotic]

"And I thought I had monopoly on ill thought out and rash actions. First Raijin taken my rash and now you behave crazy, girl, putting the ring you don't know anything about."

 

[Tenchuu]

"Yes, of course," Halleck said, at first confused, and then clear about the brother's confusion. "Though, I was nominating myself to carry the amulet, once we rest it from the dragon's cold, dead neck. Might be after I restore Allaria to greatness, there would be positions for all of you in my Court."

Nementah looks at what happens in wonder. When the ring drops, she puts it on her finger.

As Nementah slips the ring on her finger, her body becomes momentarily rigid from the surge of energy that flows through all of the limbs of her body. She then then takes a deep breath and resumes to normal.

From this point on as long as you have the ring you receive the following bonuses:

1. +1 to Primera's AC
2. +3 to amount of healing done with any healing power.
+ +5 to all nature checks

The cleric looks up at the warlord. Oh no! Once the power of the shield is used on the amulet, both the amulet and shield disappear, along with the orbs of the shield. Where they go, no one knows. In time, the amulet resurfaces, finding its new prize and the orbs resurface as well, waiting to be found and pieced together once again in order to terminate the power of the amulet. It's a vicious cycle. You, my friends are now part of this cycle. Time is the essence. It is important that we act on this soon, for every day we spend finding the orbs, the dragon reign of terror and destruction increases exponentially (ooc: I couldn't resist the math reference). And, it is clear that the dragon intends to start with Daunton.

The cleric then focuses his attention back to the orbs. We must continue to look for the orbs. We have two. By chance did you find any others in your journey here?
