Help me name an all-female group of mercenaries

I bet you're right that you'd have gotten only a few suggestions for a run-of-the-mill merc group, but you gave us something unusual.

Had you said "all elf" or "all halfling" or anything else that pointed at them being unusual, you'd likely get a flood like this.

Some of these replies are making me ashamed that I even posted in this thread.

If this had been about an all male merc company would you have suggested "Gigolo Killers" or "Flaccid Rangers"?

:hmm:

Gigolo Killers rocks!

Flaccid Rangers makes them sound..........lazy. I don't think these guys would get many job offers. :p

I find this topic interesting because the female mercenary in my swashbuckler D&D game wants to start a company of her own, and she's thinking about an all-female company because, as she says, "you need a gimmick to stand out and get hired."

At present she's trying to subvert an all-female street gang of extremely tough women, called the "Ladies-in-Waiting", into taking up the mercenary life. It'll be interesting to see what the player picks for a name. (A female player, though, so I rather suspect that many of the suggestions in this thread would not pass muster.)

1) An all or predominantly male mercenary company being the norm, calling attention to their gender would be useless as a marketing tool.

2) Assuming they wanted to do so, I think I could do better...

The Bearded Brotherhood? The Third-Column Company? The Morningwood Lancers?

I find this thread interesting because a lot of the replies are the definition of Single White Guy.

It's really cute to see a bunch of folks being all "tee hee hee women have periods," but I'm sure that's not what the OP was really going for. (Also no, it's not cute, stop it. Stop it forever, please.)

I like 'The Tender Mercies.' Someone's suggestion of 'Her Hundred Swords' was pretty cool. What type of mercenary band is this, as in, are they going to be mainly infantry, or archery, or light/heavy cavalry?

True - all male companies are typically the norm.
