I find it ironic, that the year I decide to return to Enworld (after leaving because of the edition wars), WOTC decides to make 5e.
IN any case, I was excited to hear the news. I feel like a had a girlfriend, and she dumped me for a newer hotter guy, and 4 years later she realizes that hotter guy is a little shallow and now is apologizing. Problem is, I've moved on to someone I am very compatabile with, and am now forced to think about what exactly I want now from my ex.
Now the question is, what can 5e give me that Pathfinder doesnt already?
And how do you keep the idea of 4e around (make the game easier to teach surely is not a problem)?
My personal things that I wish Pathfinder had.
I still find the spell system cumbersome and I'd love to see 5e ditch it for a point based system. I think you can keep the complexity in a less complex package.
Develop a better method for social interactions that combines rolling with role-playing.
I wish that there was an NPC generator for Pathfinder. It still is a pain to make my own NPCs.
