Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Battles: Rise of the Runelords Minis

I can't wait for this set to come out! Some real fantastic sculpts. I'll be buying 2nd hand individuals, at least that was my plan. With so many that I think are awesome, I just might buy a case.

Our pals at WizKids don't really understand Pathfinder sizes yet. I try and try and try, but they use "colossal" to mean "a really big miniature."

That's not how we use the word, obviously, but they don't fully get that yet, so they sometimes get confused (bless their hearts).

Rune giants in the Pathfinder RPG are Gargantuan. Any miniature that I would approve for the Pathfinder line would need to be the correct size.

Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that the text included at the bottom of that slide is an error, and that the miniature is in fact Gargantuan.

Thanks for the clarification Erik.

Its very interesting to know what goes on behind the scenes. Also helps us players to understand why some things happen the way they do.

Heres the preview for March 30th 2012.

First up this week we have the ancient lich Azaven.

This gorgeous Alu-Fiend figure is a common.

Last up this week is the Yeth Hound, a traditional canine foe with a long history in mythology, fantasy fiction, and fantasy gaming.

There you have it.

Mixed bag.

Hard to judge the lich from the picture supplied - it's really hard to see how his face is rendered, which will probably make or break the figure. The alu-fiend is very nice, particularly since it's a common limited to a small colour palette, good work there. The yeth hound - I like the sculpt a lot, but isn't a yeth hound meant to be a shadow creature? Why is it orange?

It looks almost exactly like the Yeth Hound entry in the Bestiary. And the MM, for that matter.

It is not a shadow critter, but it is an outsider.
