Big changes to Social Groups = Campaign Manager

Well, that was fun

There have been a number of changes to the social groups feature in order to make them more useful to those using them to manage campaigns. To reflect this, groups have been renamed "campaigns".*

  • The campaign description can now be as long as you wish, and include BB code (which means you can add images, format text, etc.); the text box to do this is now much bigger.
  • The general layout of a campaign has been altered to make it look a little more pleasing.
  • Campaign events link in with calendars. Your group page shows events in the next 60 days. Events come with email reminders, and attendance information (each player can indicate if they'll be attending or not). Perfect for scheduling game sessions.
  • The campaign forum is now properly featured. BB code, quotes, and so on, just like a real forum.
  • Campaigns can be invite only or public. GMs can invite players, kick players, and so on.
  • You can upload as many pictures as you like to a campaign - maps, NPC portraits, and so on.
  • GMs can PM or email all players in a campaign.
  • Players can receive daily email updates of campaign activity.
  • Coming soon: each campaign will have its own wiki pages. You can use those and organise them how you wish.

*Note that you can still use them for non-campaign things; this is to highlight the new ways you can use them.

Can you not? You should be able to, unless I've missed a permission somewhere.

I've tried and nothing I do works.

It's possible that I created them whilst a subscriber and now I'm not, I can't or don't have the right permissions to delete them or something.

Nothing to do with subscriptions. I'll poke around; it's probably a buried setting or permission somewhere.

How much more are you doing to the Publisher Groups in regard to the Campaign Mgr?

(The notice went off for me as of this last time I went to the group.)

Dittoing the notification thing...

And BTW, when I clicked on the Edit button in the Campaign manager instructions, it brought up a window with YOUR welcome message in it. If it's doing what I think it's doing, that means that a less restrained person could change that to "Ba-Ba-Booey!" for all of ENWorld! (I did not experiment.)

The campaign manager instructions are in the public wiki. Anybody can edit a wiki, by design.

If people start vandalising it, we'll deal with them.
