Happy Free RPG Day! :)

I'm hoping to get over to Games Plus this afternoon and also hoping they have something left! :D

So, what did everyone wind up doing for Free RPG Day? Did you get something cool?

Sadly, the only gaming hobby store in my area did not participate. The nearest participating retailer is 400 km away. Here's hoping others have participating stores in their area.

Looking at the list of items in the package, a number of them sound interesting so I would love to hear what folks thought of the free rpg items.

I really, really, really liked Paizo's contribution from last year with We Be Goblins.

I was lucky this year. I was able to get four free items from Wizards Comics & Collectibles, here in Edmonton, Alberta, today.

I got the "Dawn of the Scarlet Sun" module for Pathfinder, "Dead in the Eye" module for 4E, Gaming Paper's "Slavers of the Sunken Garden" PF module, and the Brass & Steel adventure called "The Case of the Croquet Mallet."

The store was only offering 2 free, up front, with 2 more available with a $20 minimum purchase.

I bought Giants Revisited in order to get the extra two. :)

Cheers!

The nearest location place is 30 miles away and I don't think that they participate. Even if they did, I won't drive out there these days with So Cal gas prices.

Since the only thing that interests me is the Conspiracy X 2.0 Demo, I am hoping that Eden will, eventually, add a pdf to their site to go with the demos for their other games.

To help celebrate Free RPG Day you can download the preview of Companions of the Firmament, a nice chunk of content that is on par with things you can get at your FLGS.

You can download the Wyrm Rider Archetype (Pathfinder Compatible) here.

A local store which is a hole the wall comic store did this for the first time and I was very unimpressed by them. They limited what you could get to 2 items so I didn't even look at what was there as I was grabbing one item for me and another for a friend who couldn't make it. I bought some things from them but won't be going back there.
