Anyone pick up the 3.5 reprints?

I'm thinking of picking up a copy of the PH, but thats it. Still not sure I am going to do that either. I have plenty of copies (4) already, and the errata was not so egregious as to really need to pick this up because of it.

If I was confident that I would ever play or run 3E again, I would definitely spend the money, but really doubting it at this point.

The books do look good, and the binding felt top notch, so print quality does appear to be top grade.

My group is still playing 3.5E, but I don't think any of us will be buying the new core rulebooks. Getting them for the included errata isn't a big enough incentive for me and my current core rulebooks are still in very good condition, despite many years of use now.

I might have a look at them in my FLGS, just to see what they changed style-wise, but I really doubt there will be anything that makes me go "OMG, I must have this now!" My players generally don't buy many books at all so I can't see them picking these up either.

It would have been nice if they changed the Monster Manual stats entries to match the latter ones used in MM IV & V, but I guess it would have been too much work laying it out all over again.

My hope is that the re-release causes used copies of the original printings to finally come down to a reasonable price on Amazon. Then I'll buy them to replace my 3e DMG and PHB--I never upgraded the books; I've just been using the SRD. I do have a MM though.

Probably not, though to be honest I never actually bought any of the 3.5 core 3 in the first place since my group was still using 3.0 and we didn't have much issue incorporating 3.x supplements as we went.

On top of that, at this point with PF in print, I don't see any need to buy any of the reprints.

Does anyone know if the errata updates in the 3.5 reprints include changes made in the Rules Compendium? (For example, the change to Wildshape.) I believe that the RC consolidated rules from other sources, but I'm not sure if they all qualified as "errata" for purposes of this update.

See, I played off the SRD for years after 3.5, then picked up the books after 4e came out for under $5 apiece (okay, a little more with shipping). I have to say, I was surprised by what wise purchases they turned out to be.

Well, I didn't do that, and then to my surprise, the price went up. And stayed up. Last time I checked (which was admittedly, a little while ago now) they were more expensive used and not in great condition than they would have been when they were new.
