Newly discovered spider builds a spider marionette!

Several monster ideas come to mind with this one. The main one being that the players must deal with what they think is a threat, and possibly is in it's own right, but is only a marionette controlled by the REAL threat. One that while they try to deal with it ensnares them more and more solidly.

Awesome article! I suspect that a D&D-version of such a creature will likely be able to naturally construct some sort of golem-like monster, or perhaps have natural illusion abilities.

I like the title "Likely Discovered At Tambopata Research Center" - Makes you wonder IF it was doing reseach or a decoy to the reseachers. Also, as it was just around the area, will there someone with spidey powers!
