The "Lost" Planescape Sigil Book

I had commented on Andy Collins message boards, asking about City of Sin. I didn't really get any information, but it was kind of funny.

There actually wasn't meant to be. There was supposed to be a follow-up adventure that put Sigil back together again. But then the line was cancelled.

Can you shed any light on what was going to happen to put Sigil back together? Was anything ever planned or did the line get cancelled while Faction War was getting published thus never giving a reason to plan anything else?

OK, here's what I know about City of Sin. Before Anthony Valterra left WotC and the whole BoEF debacle, there was supposed to be a setting product/city book set up for Epic levels and "mature" content. I playtested a 25th level combat (playing Mialee with 3.0 time stop - heh heh heh) for an Aberration with a bunch of antennae and whatnot. It kicked our butts, so the general consensus was that, whatever the thing was, it was no CR 25.

Edit: And now the NDA lawyers can eat me for lunch. Yay.

Very interesting: I don';t own Savage Species, but am surprised to have never heard this "missing book" mentioned before!

So, an Epic and Mature Audiences campaign setting? That sounds a bit of a narrow niche, all things considered. Perhaps the ELH was originally supposed to receive more support than it did, but audience reaction and what-not caused some re-evaluation? Or perhaps it's because this staff member left, and only he championed the cause in question.

I know you're NDAed and it was a while ago, but I'll take whatever otehr scraps you'll throw at me.

I just stumbled across Michele Carter's blog and found reference to the City of Sin & City of Doors projects meant to come after Faction War. http://community.wizards.com/wotc_miko/blog/2009/09/03/buried_treasure

Can anyone shine any light on what these 2 products were supposed to be about? Or is it still a secret after all these years?
