Well, that was surprising. In retrospect there were quite a few hints (Tarquin's pun-duelled before, for example), but I didn't pick up on any of them. Nicely done, Giant.

On an OotS-related note, I'm waiting for Baldur's Gate II EE to be released for iPad (it's supposed to be released tomorrow and I have a 10-hour flight on Saturday). I started wondering whether Icewind Dale would also be updated, and that got me thinking: has anyone ever played a party with the same composition as the Orser of the Stick?

Arg! That hit should have killed Roy! I think Elan was sneaking cure spells onto Roy off panel :/ Well at least Julio is a Dead Man Flying.

Well, it's possible Roy was barely in the negatives and Elan ate most of the damage. And Burlew's mentioned that he ignores the rules to benefit the story.

That hit should have killed Elan. But then, by that logic, Roy should be dead already. If having a wide-bore armoured tusk shoved all the way through his torso barely even slows him down, then a comparatively small object like a sword blade is only a minor niggle in comparison.

Baldur's Gate II for iPad? That's fantastic news! I just looked on their site, and apparently release is still pending, but here's hoping it will happen before the very long plane ride I have coming up in a few weeks.
