stun Scoundrel while he is high up, he falls and dies. simple easy cheesy peasy.

That might work providing a failed save*, but I think a medium BAB hitting a rope with a ray has a higher success rate.

*please tell me psions don't have a You are Stunned, No Save power...

unfortunately I do not know 3.x psionics well enough one way or the other.
