D&D 5E So when do you think the PDFs will go on sale? (Speculation)

It is an unfortuanate fact that bibles are the most stolen book in many Barnes and Nobles. Medical profession reference guides are usually second.

There is probably a big secondary market for them, I mean bibles are one of the most sold books as well, and medical reference guides are pretty expensive.

For what it is worth there is a copy of the adventure book from the starter set out there on pirate sites as well as the maps. It took longer than I thought it would but it happened, I assume a pirate copy of the PHB won't take as long because of higher demand.

I believe that the 4e PDFs came out the same day as the physical books.

If they were planning on doing PDF releases, I suspect they would have announced it by now.

That's... kind of lame.

What about in app form? I play Pathfinder and have the PFRPG.rd app on my iPad and iPhone, complete with search engine. It's a REALLY great resource to have at the table while running games.

I would REALLY miss it if I didn't have an equivalent on hand for any 5th Edition games I might want to run or play in.

(HINT, HINT! Are you getting my hint, WotC?)

Yep. Love my print books, but only for around the house. If WotC won't make legal PDFs available, then I'll just have to find another method, cuz I'm over lugging 45 lbs. of books to games.

This.

WotC, Paizo sells .pdf copies of their books along with the hardcover copies. You can do it too.

If you don't, I'm going to have a hard time convincing my play group to convert over to 5th Edition.

And you don't want that, do you?
