D&D 5E Happy 50th, Forgotten Realms!

I'll gladly accept your faux offense.

Really man. Look over your posts. You went after the guy whose only offense was excitement. And you just didn't stop.

I have broad shoulders. Shovel away. It's not cool. 'Nuff said.
The only thing I went after was the facts, not the poster... no one else in any other environment would get away with claiming a 50th anniversary when it is closer to 30th...

again look at anyother fandom... star trek gets it's anniversary from first episode, Star Wars from when first movie came out, twilight gets from publication, so do comic books, and every other settting... why the exception for the realms...

But the OP was not claiming it was the 50th anniversary of the Realms. He called it the 50th birthday. (For myself, I figure it was conceived 50 years ago, I'm not sure what the gestation period was, but probably figure somewhere closer to the first published articles.)

I left a note at Candlekeep in the "Ask Ed" thread, asking for clarification on Zirta. If the dates need to be changed then the head admin for the FR Wiki can see to it, as he frequents the 'Keep.

If I get an answer I will post it here.

While, like some others have stated, I am baffled by your choice of dates. However, you do seem to be excited by D&D and the Forgotten Realms in particular, so I'm happy that you're happy.

I think for the community the dates of publication have far more celebratory value. That's when we got introduced to various products as a group, with a shared event to celebrate.

Cheers!
