I played Dice Masters for the first time this weekend (Justice League booster draft). Fun game. Not sure I'm into a collectable game, but if you are, it's a good one.

No comparison, really. It's like comparing MtG to Spellfire, another "great" TSR game.

Marvel Dice Masters was released to a lot of fanfare last year. They expanded the licenses to both DC and D&D since then. Pretty popular game, I don't see it going away any time soon.

Yeah, just so everybody is clear, this isn't a new product line by WotC, it's a licensed product by Wizkids for their already-successful Dicemasters game line.

I'm a fan of Dice Masters.

Its the only collectible game I've ever gotten into.

The D&D set is considered by many to be the best set, with the best production values.

But its also 5 bucks more expensive.

Spellfire was supposed to be total crap.

Dragon Dice was the big success, until it finally brought forward TSR's demise.

But really, its a fine line between big success and total catastrophe.
