D&D 5E Looking for Meso American Adventures

My group just finished up this excellent 5E conversion of the AD&D 1st Ed. Classic; N1 Against the Cult of The Reptile God. You can find it here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/53719420/AgainstTheCultOfTheReptileGod5th.pdf

Note this still requires an original copy of the module and is conversion notes for 5E only.

I had been preparing for an expedition to the Olman Islands by converting two modules to 5E. Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan and Isle of Dread. Also been painting a lot of Meso American miniatures to use in this adventure.

When they found out we were headed to the Olman Islands two of my seven players "I know what modules you are going to run"

So does anyone know of any Meso American flavored adventures I might use? I know there was a Forgotten Realms box set for 2nd Ed. Not familiar with the contents.

I haven't played them, but I do have those adventures. (Once upon a time WotC had them in their free download section.) They look very immersive and seem pretty long. Part of their job seems to be adding to the Maztica setting presented in the boxed set, so you get a good deal of details on the area, inhabitants, etc.

If you can find an old copy of Dragon magazine #70 (February 1983), check out the Mechica module. It's a mid-level (AD&D) introduction to a Meso-American setting (basically, a D&D riff on Tenochtitlan) that has a few interesting ideas. At less than a dozen pages, it's not at the level of Dread or Tamoachan, but it's worth a look if you can get cheap access to it.

There's the Savage Tide adventure path from the latter days of Dungeon magazine (3.5e). The "middle" modules of that AP basically revisit Isle of Dread. If your players are familiar with the original, there's a chance they're not familiar with the more modern remake. Savage Tide even briefly visits a small part of the Tamoachan complex in one of the earlier modules in the series. There were 12 issues in the series. After about issue 8, the AP goes to "other places.
