D&D 5E [D&D 5E] Securing the Alliance: An Adventure in Tethyr (FULL)

Just a note for everyone. I'm going to set Sunday at 5PM Central as the cutoff for character submissions (For those not familiar with US timezones, it's about 3:40 PM right now as I post this, so just check the post time and do the conversion). I have quarterly inventory all weekend, so I'll bet at my work computer most of the time (and generally available to check the boards) if there are any questions. Feel free to tweak things as needed, but let me know if you do tweak a character sheet that I've already reviewed.

Good luck to everyone, I've really enjoyed the submissions so far. This is going to be really difficult to pare it odwn to four.

I added Annàn's backstory and added a few more characteristics. Swapped out Charm Person for Tasha's Hideous LaughterSeizure. My Character sheet is ready to be reviewed. If there is anything more that needs adding or clarifying, let me know. if you ever want details on those NPCs, ask me and I'll send them over. :)

EDIT: character sheet is in post #30, for reference.

. . . If you do not think you’ll be able to post according to these guidelines, please do not submit a character. . . .

I won't be submitting a character; but the above quote is not the reason. Instead, the reasons are otherwise:

(1) "Tethyr?" That the word for how you tie up a horse so it doesn't wander (yes, I joke);
(2) The adventure is set in FR. Still learning about that. (There's so much I don't know!) I'm in CB's "Stonefast" game, which is set in FR, so that's a beginning (but only the barest of beginnings);
(3) The posted map doesn't include the capital of Tethyr, which (I looked it up!) is farther east from the coast;
(4) I'm dead slow to come up with new characters (still trying to create a gnome feylock of the tome for other purposes);
(5) I'm trying to limit the number of games I'm in, so I can give more attention to the few I play.

Yeah, so the question occurs to everybody reading this: Why did tuxgeo even bother to post here?
The answer to that is semi-roundabout, thus: I want this thread marked as one I have posted in so I can find it easily again, because I plan to keep reading this adventure as it goes along. (I tried that same thing with "Skull & Crossbones"; however, Hope Springs Eternal).

Edit to Add: Cross-reference for those who care about such trivia: the "Mutiny" part of my poster-level title (that is to say, "Commutiny Exporter") had direct bearing on the "Skull & Crossbones" game; but I stayed out of it (wisely!) because I don't really have the background for that. (I have never watched any of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies, for example).

Bummer, too bad you can't join us. Another option you could do could be bookmarking or subscribing to the thread even if you didn't post.
...:)
Wait, You can do that on ENW, right? :O

Singing Leaf is basically ready for review (post 67). I still have some detail work to complete, like a full equipment list, and copying in class abilities, but there should be enough in place at this stage. If I have missed something, please let me know so I can fix it before the deadline.

tuxgeo, it appears that only one or two of us have any familiarity at all with the Realms. I own Realms sourcebooks in multiple editions and really don't have much of a clue what the Realms are about. I never let that stop me from participating. I highly doubt anyone here is a Realms purist.

God help you if you're counting on Stonefast to learn about the Realms. ;)

Yes, yes, you can, Zansy, using the Thread Tools menu found in the top frame of the thread display. I thought of mentioning that possibility, but I'm happy to see that you beat me to it.

I used to be far more familiar with the Realms, back in the day. Then I moved on to other settings, and the Realms canon kept getting deeper. The Forgotten Realms wiki is very helpful.

Yeah, don't worry about being Realms savvy. There isn't going to be much mentioned going on outside of Tethyr. If I do mention Realms stuff, I'll try to provide sufficient exposition. :)
