D&D 5E (2014) Primeval Thule: How to Introduce Players to the Setting

After wrapping up a campaign last night, my group is getting geared up for the next one, which will take place in Thule. My problem is, if I drop the free 30 page intro PDF on them, their eyes will glaze over and they won't read it. Is there a document, official or not, out there that will introduce the important concepts of the setting to my players in a more compact way? I'm loathe to type it all up myself - not that I won't do that if necessary, but I was hoping some other industrious DM had done it already.

While they might not want to read all 30 pages, the first 2 or 3 would do it. Then, if they want to read more, they can.

Why not use the video for the Kickstarter? Or at least the intro from the Kickstarter page?

Inspired by the literary traditions of sword-and-sorcery adventure, lost worlds, and fantastic horror, the land of Primeval Thule is a savage, intense campaign setting. This is a world of barbarian freebooters and dark magic, star-spawned monstrosities and elder gods, fabulous treasures and mind-blasting terror. Hunt saber-tooth tigers in steaming jungles—explore ancient cities buried in the relentless ice—battle dark cults and bloody-handed tyrants in decadent city-states. A world of glory and riches is yours to seize!

Thule’s influences are classic pulp fantasy stories such as Robert E. Howard’s Conan stories, H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos, and Edgar Rice Burrough’s tales of savage worlds, as brought to life by the unforgettable illustrations of artists such as Frank Frazetta and Roy Krenkel. These lurid stories and images of brawling action and cosmic horror are the bones, blood, and sinews of the Primeval Thule campaign—and it’s fantasy adventure the way it was meant to be played.

You could do a bit of a cut and paste job on the 30 page intro and simply intro the specific area you are focusing on.

Actually, go to DriveThruRPG and download the Primeval Thule Traveler's Guide. It's free! It's basically the first chapter of the book, so it's a great overview of the setting. Did I say that it's FREE?
