D&D 5E How does darkness/blind condition affect movement??

Hi

Just curious if anyone knows the rule for movement while blinded or in darkness (total obscure-ment). I believe it should probably be treated as difficult terrain but I can't find anything in the books.

Technically, nothing. In combat, I wouldn't worry about it unless the area is already difficult terrain (then I might require a Dex/Acrobatics check to avoid falling). Outside of combat, I half the movement in total darkness, since most people would move carefully.
