There are still some unreleased products related to Rage of Demons, such as the DLC for Sword Coast Legends. I don't think they will announce anything new until they are done with RoD.

When are they going to announce 2016 releases?

And/or an actual product made by WOTC and not outsourced?

I suspect most of them will be outsourced. They retain control and final say on the product, but it reduces their exposure financially. It creates business for other companies, including many with ex-TSR/WotC people. It's actually a pretty good arrangement all around.

I'm more curious to know who they're working with. Not a lot of name d20 publishers left that can handle a book of the necessary quality.

I would love to see them handle off their Psionic works to Dreamscarred Press. The actual likeliness of that is close to 0 but hey a starry eyed man can dream!

Absolute sales of core-books are higher then at any point since the early 3.0 era. Probably higher then most of the 2E era. Its not about some absolute market constraint. For D&D overall market is big as its been in ages. And profit per employee is almost certainly the highest they have ever been.

Yes, business model is obviously different. But the relationship may not be about the "tea pot."
long absence..... :) Likely to continue....

Being 10% up or whatever the number may be does not in any way make it any less of a teapot.

They are not going to announce any new product until 60-90 days before it's release.

It allows them to work on a product until they are happy with it, and they believe that the short time between announcement and release is the optimum amount of time to keep people excited about it.

I believe 4 books in the works:
Something to do with Shakespearean Gaints
Something to do with Horror
Something with Flail Snails
Something replayable, that you could play through 200 times and have a different experience each time.

I think 5e is doing well. I only really play it once a week at AL(so I have a reason to leave the house) and otherwise stick to 4e or 13th Age because 5e feels like it's always just missing that one thing that keeps my interest. Mostly it's not crunchy enough for me. It's still overall a good system and it seems to be doing well.

Also btw concerning 5e PDFs, you can always do what I've heard some people do. Buy the hardcover copy of a D&D book and then have Mr. Chan hook them up with a free PDF of said book to store on their computer. I hear he has an extensive collection. He even gets them before Amazon does.

The replayable book is very likely the same as the horror book - a new take on Ravenloft. One of the key features of the original "I6 Ravenloft" module was the randomising element at the start which controlled some aspects of the adventure, and it's very likely any new version would have something similar.

It is, of course, possible that I'm wrong about that.
