5th-7th level PCs vs. Orcus!?

Here's a little something that I started working on ages ago and just figured I'd finish and throw it up here for kicks.

If nothing else maybe you can use the PCs as pregens or NPCs or something.

By all means, if you find any mistakes or mathematic errors, let me know and I can correct them in the original document.

I look forward to hearing any brave (or foolhardy) souls who actually give this a play. Tell us your massacres...erhem..."stories"

Here's the thread I was thinking of, though it wasn't the original discussion.

Apparently it was party (six 7th level characters) vs. a balor, not a dragon as I was misremembering. And here is where it is pointed out that the 7th level PCs had 5 5th level NPC/followers/henchmen to assist them. So that's, apparently, where the "B" team of 5th level characters came from.

I guess I just figured instead of a party of 11, why not a party of 12 just as well...and give folks a chance to see how the wizard and sorcerer would play differently and/or had more survivability.

It looks like you have Expertise doubling the full bonus rather than just Proficiency. +3 Prof for 7th doubled by Expertise to +6 and +3 for Dex for +9 total not +12 on the Rogues. And Thieves' Tools are a Dex check adding Proficiency (twice for Expertise).

Baygn: Stealth +9, Thieves' Tools +9
Anise: Stealth +9 , Sleight of Hand +9, Deception +7, Thieves' Tools +9

I think it would be very likely the PCs have a shot at taking out Orcus if he doesn't have his 500hp of undead already or they roll poorly.

If the party stays spread out he can't kill them fast enough to win before his Hit Points run out by himself. He needs a Necrotic Fireball not his small radius cyclone of death.
