Planescape WOTC teasing planescape.com

Planescape is the most imaginative D&D setting Wizards have. Still, I thought it was too constrained by D&D conventions, such as Tolkien's races. I would love if they published a reboot based in the core concepts but without the legacy.

Hmmm... It could also be one of those multiple front things. An EE game, an MMO expansion, and a D&D book that is many things plus a planescape setting sorta like scag was.

I'd be pretty stoked if Neverwinter Online had a Planescape expansion. That would be wicked.

In the HTML source, there is this snippet:

secret="0x50 0x53 0x54 0x45 0x45"

These are hexadecimal codes for ASCII letters, which converts to PSTEE.
So... it indeed seems to be about Planescape: Torment EE.

While I didn't do any such checks - after a moment of excitement i did pause to think...'hang on maybe it's beamdog teasing a new enhanced edition'. I guess that's the case.

I do wonder what they're going to do with all the cut scenes and animations that PST was rife with. For story I get it, you can use those 'flipped pages' as it were. For spells? Not so much...

I love Planescape: Torment, but I'm not really interested in an enhanced edition. I just played through it again a few years ago, with a widescreen mod and a cut content restoration mod. I just don't see what would be so amazing about a slightly refined piece of software that would cause me to buy it to play a story I've already played through 3 or 4 times when I have so much else I want to do. I didn't buy the Baldur's Gate enhanced editions for the same reason.
