D&D 5E Adventures in Middle-Earth - Rhovanion Region Guide

That looks beautiful!

Cubicle 7 really do stand out above the rest with the quality of their products, and the amount of love they put into getting the feel right.

We're starting a game of The One Ring this weekend, and I don't think I've ever looked forward to a gaming session as much as I am this one.... my favourite game setting, my favourite game style, with a group of mature roleplayers who care about the lore and who put real effort into giving their characters life, and @rabindranath72 expertly guiding us through as GM, perfect!

Thanks for the kind words Jon!
I think the session went reasonably well considering it was the first time with the new system for most of the players, and I don't have a lot of experience with TOR; I only ran two campaigns, one of which during playtesting, when the game was initially released in its slipcase version some years back, and now I am definitely busier with life than back then.

Considering that in the TOR version, the "Tales from Wilderland" doesn't really rely on any other sourcebooks, I wonder if this new offer is the equivalent of TOR's The Heart of the Wild.

It is the companion sourcebook for the Wilderland adventures book, so probably no new adventures in this one, though there will be adventure seeds. Check out some reviews for Heart of the Wild for more general info on what may be in this release.

And for anyone reading this who is not familiar with The One Ring, this is the way C7 does their releases: a book of adventures and a companion sourcebook on the region where the adventures are set.

Correct. However, the TOR book this is based on is "Heart of the Wild", which is the companion for "Darkening of Mirkwood", not "Tales from Wilderland" (a.k.a. "Wilderland Adventures".) There is a lot of overlap geographically between the two, but for various reasons (spoilers omitted) it's clear that HotW has a stronger connection to Darkening than to Tales.

We'll presumably be getting the Mirkwood campaign for AiME soon then?

Possibly but nothing has been confirmed. Cubicle 7 did mention that there were a few items in various states of production so one of the next ones could be about Mirkwood. It's also likely that AiME will get similar products to what has been released for TOR since some of the work has already been done.

But at the end of the day we don't know what Cubicle 7 has planned for the remainder of the year, next year, and into the future, but I think it's safe to look at TOR and predict what we will see. It may not be a one-to-one conversion of TOR products but I think we will see similar items. I'm sure AiME will get a Bree supplement, but maybe not this year or next Or maybe that will be the next one released, maybe they worked on them in tandem or with the intention of developing content for both systems at the same time. We don't know, but it sure is an exciting time for AiME!

Happy gaming!
