D&D 5E [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Waterdeep

Willow takes a look at the parchment flyer, but it doesn't mean anything to her. "Weird."

She looks nervously from the trolls to the stable, wondering how long their patience will last. "Shall we see about this bargain of yours, then?" she says to the paladin.

From the barn roof, Bellalalalalinda makes her way down the ladder.

"Hey!" she says to her companions. "Um, so, what do we do about the trolls?"

She turns and addresses them in Giant: "HEY! ARE YOU GUYS MAD? CAN WE MAKE YOU STOP ATTACKING THE BARN?"

Davaros presses the matter "Lady Zoar, these two trolls fought to save your inn. I would be much obliged if you filled their bellies. On the spur of the moment, I promised them a horse. Perhaps they would be open to a cow or some sheep. Once fed, we will go with them to see what has stirred up their kind"

"Yeah we're mad. Super mad."

"Nah, you mean hungry. He gets hungry when he's angry. Or is it angry when he's hungry?"

The boss lady seems to address, the party more privately... "We've got more than enough stores in the inn. We could feed them. We could also get them really drunk, I think, if that's more useful."

Willow looks curiously at Davaros when he mentions what he needs the trolls for. "I'm sorry, did you say you're looking into the giant troubles? If that's what you're keeping these two for...I don't suppose you could use any more help?"

She looks a bit sheepish as she realizes she hasn't actually introduced herself to anyone but Davaros. "I'm Willow Hale, priestess of Eldath," she says to the others, "and occasional page," she adds with a grin at Gul. "I heard what happened at Triboar and Goldenfields. The faithful of Chauntea have always been friends to Eldath's followers, so I was riding for Goldenfields to see if I could be of any aid. But if you're looking to solve this, please let me offer your cause what skills I posess. I'm a healer, and I imagine there are many fights ahead of you..."

"I like the way you think, my lady. Lets offer them food, and we'll see later for the drinks." Turning to the trolls, Davaros says. "Friends, your bellies will be now be filled" He nods in appreciation to the boss lady.

"Well met Dawn, and than you for your help."

The boss lady gives instructions to prepare food quickly and set up a table out here to deal with the trolls.

She also offers that "If you did deal with this troll problem more permanently I could offer you proper recompense, or at least a part of it. They've created problems along the road, and this settlement needs the road."

Willow nods to each of them, and then looks at the gnome. "And Bel-...Bellalalalalalinda, right? That's a very pretty name. I'm glad to meet you all."

"And you have nothing to apologize for," Willow says to Gul with a smile. "If you three hadn't been here, I'd certainly be dead. You all have my thanks."

"Although perhaps I can do a little more than thank you," she adds, noticing Bell's wound from the fight. She crouches next to the gnome and places a hand near the wound. With a quiet prayer, she feels the sensation of cool waters streaming around her fingertips, and watches the wound close. She tends to Rocco's injuries as well.

Once finished, she glances a bit nervously at the trolls, and the table being prepared for them. "Perhaps one of you could tell me a little about your plans while our friends eat?"

"Yes, I know!" enthuses the small gnome. "Niceta meetcha." She offers her hand boldly.

Then the cleric reaches out and puts her hand on Bellalalalalalinda's arrow wound. She feels something pull inside her, as the sinews and tendon that animate her limbs reach out as if with a mind of their own, meet and join together. For a moment, Belllalalalalinda thinks of the marionettes. Muscle grows back, filling in space. the new meet grows red as blood appears and then suddenly gets enveloped in strings, veins stretching beneath her skin. She stares at this process until skin covers it. Not scar tissue, though -- baby fresh skin.

It feels like a crank has been twisted inside her, and all of her insides are an inch shorter. But it also feels like she's just waking up after a deep rest. There's a hole in the cloth of her armour where the arrow pierced, but underneath is as healthy as it has ever been.

"Wow. Thank you, ma'am," she says genuinely awestruck.
