D&D 5E (2014) [IC] Creamsteak's Storm King's Thunder: Waterdeep

Davaros looks at the highborn looking lady and bows "My lady, I am Lord Davaros Silverfist. We just victoriously repelled assailants from the inn, and struck a bargain with these two trolls: food in exchange of them fighting on our side. I intend to honor my bargain with them. Can you please introduce yourself?"

Gul keeps climbing up as high as he can; looking up at where the marionettes came from. As a last resort, he sends an Eldritch Blast up into the sky in an attempt to see if it connects with anything..

"Tamalin Zoar. I didn't know we had a lord staying at my inn. And you bargain with trolls? They've been a problem in the past. Something has stirred them up..."

She takes in the wreckage of the puppets and the two monstrous trolls. "You wouldn't happen to know anything about... this?"

She pulls a parchment flyer out of her coat pocket. It's identical to the one you found on the kobold back near Yartar.

"I woke to one of these contraptions putting this on my nightstand."

Gul keeps climbing up as high as he can; looking up at where the marionettes came from. As a last resort, he sends an Eldritch Blast up into the sky in an attempt to see if it connects with anything..

Gul sees two things in the sky glimmering in the starlight. One is a masked humanoid figure wearing a red three-pointed hat not unlike the ones worn by some of the puppets. Standing next to him is a tall female cloud giant also wearing a mask. They appear to be riding their cloud boat away to the north.

OOC: There is a ladder in the stables that goes up to the second floor, the windows there overlook the roof of part of the structure. Note if you're not climbing the ladder you're going to need to roll athletics I think.

OOC: Missed this. Sorry.

Bell looks down into the barn. Did any of the marionettes fet inside, and are they still alert? If so, she will shoot at them. If she sees none, then she turns around and heads back to the ladder, to descend, but she won't be there for the initial conversation with the guarded woman.

Meanwhile, Whistler bows back at Roco, imitating his mid-waist dip.

"Two creatures flying north!" Gul called out, looking back down towards Davaros and the trolls.

OOC:
Is it worth Davaros trying to get a Hunter's Quarry on the giant, to try and track her? Or is following a flying creature going to be too hard, even with advantage?

OOC: I kinda just skimmed over the Red Roco part of the thread, so I'm not sure if you guys decided anything about his involvement in this stuff, but Willow has Zone of Truth prepped if that would be of any use.

OOC: Bell doesn't trust him. Even if he truthfully believes he did nothing, she is convinced that he tortured an enemy and strung him up in a cruel, weird, disgusting, ritual-like way.

OOC: Yeah, he's dangerous either way. Only thing ZoT could do is determine whether he did it knowingly/willfully or under magical influence.
