D&D 5E Monks - Bonus Actions, Extra Attack, Flurry of Blows, and Movement

You could abuse Gloom Stalker to get three Dread Ambushes thanks to Action Surge + Haste giving you two triggering Attack Actions. But only if your DM favors multiple small encounters instead of a few deadly encounters (where Horde Breaker pulls ahead).
That is a pretty sweet combo, too, but dependent on the first turn for the additional attacks. My personal preference was for Horde Breaker, but that is dependent on having more than one target in reach, so I suppose it is simple a matter of which you think more useful for your typical encounter.

Your combo is definitely better for the nova action surge use, and imagine throwing in 10 levels of Paladin for divine smite on ten attacks in the first round! You could burn through your spell slots before you ran out of attacks! :D

Actually, you wouldn't need that many levels of Monk since the Paladin would provide you with the Extra Attack feature... Maybe Paladin 12/ Ranger 4/ Fighter 2/ Monk 2?

I definitely agree. Gloom Stalker is a little underwhelming compared to Hunter (which gets freaking Volley), and not every DM rules that Dread Ambusher is more specific than Haste. I was mostly navel gazing a hilarious number of attacks within a single round. I would personally take Hunter as well.
