D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

I thought the way we change behavior we don't like in the market is to make our voices heard and vote with our wallets?

Not buying their virtual copies and complaining about it on a public forum seems to fit the bill to me.
But... wasn’t this whole thread about how you COULDN’T buy their virtual products?

If you hate them why do you want to support them at all?

Apparently sometime while I wasn't looking WOTC/Hasbro has nailed itself to a cross and must not be criticized.
You went to a D&D fan site to complain about WotC. That’s like going to a Smith & Wesson fan site to complain about gun company behavior....

And yes, if you want to make valid complaints about the practices of Hasbro and ethical treatment if worker by WotC this is a good place.
But instead you’re coming here and saying you deserve a free bonus product with purchase and because you’re not getting it WotC is an evil corporation only out for money.

I'm glad we're back to you explaining what and where people can post. It's pleasant.

I'll just drop here again to say that if there was ever an appropriate time for WotC to revert their policy on selling PDF versions of their books, now would probably be the right time.

Given the current situation, I can understand this sentiment.

WotC has actually been offering free digital products daily.

Combined with the fact that the basic rules are also free, and a basic account on D&D Beyond is free, and allows you to add any homebrew content you’d like, I’d say that they’re doing a good job of supporting the game.

People can literally get everything they need to play right now, for free.

This is why the complaint for PDFs just doesn’t have much weight to it.
