D&D General Hey, are we all cool with having to buy the same book twice, or what?

Wow. What's happened to this thread? At first it was complaining about buying the same book twice, then it became a discussion on corporate brainwashing and supporting piracy. What the hell happened?

Yes, the internet. The true melting pot of humanity.

Well, I think that the main consensus is:
  1. If you want to have your cake and eat it too, buy both copies, digital and physical. Sure, it'll cost more, but there are benefits to having both copies.
  2. If you want physical and digital books and don't mind a bit of stealing, just go find it online. (I am not supporting this method, I am against it, but I am merely summarizing the opinions of those on this thread.)
  3. Don't buy the books twice if you don't want to buy them twice.
  4. We're all brainwashed by corporations into supporting them and buying their products. (I again disagree with this. I am very liberal, but I don't believe we are being brainwashed by corporations.)
  5. XKCD is funny.
Any other opinions that I left out that should be added to the list?

@dave2008 I'd recommend walking that quote back...
Not sure what I have done to offend someone, or need to back pedal from. If I spoke out of line or made a mistake and offended @Umbran or someone else, I am sorry, I definitely wasn't trying to offend. If my statement requires some corrective action, I'm fine with that. Hopefully it teaches me to look more carefully before I post.
