Is that actually a meaningful distinction? Seems to me that inclusivity is being used to mean "don't do what offends".

It's not the same thing, in my opinion. There's a clear distinction between "Our game is open to everyone" and "We will try our best not to offend anyone."

You can find several accounts of Bigfoot sightings, too. I have yet to see anything cited(and I'll admit I did skip several pages in these fast moving discussions) that come close to resembling the orc language. One person attempted to in response to a post of mine, but his citations weren't even close.

Now I want a Bigfoot statblock in D&D.

The game as it stands is currently open to everyone. The latter is a snipe hunt. You can't have a game that doesn't offend anyone and attempting to do so will often alienate as many or more people than those you are trying not to offend.

This is very Tongue in Cheek so please take it as intended, isn't it more of a "Our game is open to everyone except those that want traditional orcs or any number of other things we deem inappropriate"

The only constant is change. We're in the Nth edition (N=5+, depending on what you want to count). Having things stay static is not a realistic expectation.

Sometimes the best way to keep your "heritage" in mind is to be aware that your ancestors were monsters.

The greatest evil tends to be done by people who characterise other people as monsters.

Further evidence of lack of empathy... comparing experiences of people of colour to Bigfoot sightings.

Claims of reactionary opinions being suppressed as if these are in any way equivalent to experiences suffered by people of colour.

Those raising or highlighting these issues being described as squeaky wheels.

Unfortunately these kind of tone deaf comments are precisely why Wizards of the Coast have to take action because it’s clear the community as a whole is unable to self regulate.
