So my 2 cents. First off, The Flash is my favorite superhero OF ALL TIME. But even I did not vote for that being the best show. I will preface all of my remarks in that I am WAY behind, or have never seen, some of these shows because real life (7 year old boy/girl twins and my wife and father were both diagnosed with cancer last year) has had me preoccupied (rightly so, but still). So onto the shows:

Arrow - Loved the show when it first came out and, of course, it kinda spawned all these other shows so you have to give it some credit, but the later seasons just became filled with too much angst and brooding and Oliver making the same mistakes over and over and over... well you get the point.
The Flash -
First season was AMAZABALLS!!! Henry Cavanagh is one of the most underrated actors out there and has done a marvelous job playing all the different multiverse versions of Harrison Wells. Simply underrated for that. After that, and others have pointed it out, it got a little timey-wimey and mopey. The worst season was when Elongated Man was introduced because he was so offensively unwatchable (referred to all the female characters on the show by their body measurements, etc. Thankfully the guy responsible for that horridness was fired and so to was Hartley Sawyer for his highly offensive sexist, racist and misogynistic comments). I have only watched up to season 5 currently but plan on watching season 6 and beyond because I still loves me some Flash.
Supergirl
- I really liked this show to and have fallen behind on it for reasons above. It's good but could be better. I'm not a big fan of the Super's, especially Superman, but this show was done pretty well.
Legends of Tomorrow - This is the one I voted for. Season 1 was a bit of a struggle as I think the show was trying to "find itself" and I really like what they have settled into since. It is more on the "light" side of the DC universe and I find it refreshing and funny. They have no qualms about poking fun at themselves (like the crossover they were not involved in) and I just enjoy the show for what it is and I don't expect any more than that.
Black Lightning - Have not got a chance to watch it yet and would like to eventually.
Batwoman -
Same as Black Lightning
Stargirl -
I must really be out of touch. Didn't even know this was a show... I need to get out more.
Doom Patrol
- Same as Stargirl. How am I this out of sorts?
Titans
- Holy crap?!? Am I in a cave or something?!? I REALLY need to get out more. Or rather, in more, like where the TV is, because who keeps TV's outside? Oh right. Drive-In's. Damn you Baldur's Gate on Nintendo Switch eating up all my free time!!! Holy crap can you imaging playing console games on a drive-in screen...

Tom Cavanagh. Are you mixing up his name with Henry Cavill?

I had not heard about that situation with Hartley Sawyer until reading this which seems odd seeing as I follow a lot of these folks on Twitter. I suppose recasting Ralph will be easier than recasting Kate Kane though.

So far I am the lone vote for The Flash it seems. Maybe it is not the "best" per se but it is my mainstay.

Tough choice. I voted for Arrow. I really liked the first couple seasons. It went down hill a bit after that. But I watched it all and enjoyed it.... I did quit watching one season for a while... maybe season 4... it was starting to bug me.

The Flash would be a close second. I agree about the acting skills of Tom Cavanagh.

Supergirl - I was warned about it before watching it, so I came into it with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Some of the scenes in the first season were fantastic. I watched the next couple seasons, but haven't kept up with it lately.

Legends of Tomorrow: I couldn't get past the first few episodes of the first season. But I see it gets a lot of votes here. Maybe I'll give it another shot.

Black Lightning: Pretty good. I'll keep watching.

I'm interested in the Titans and Doom Patrol, but haven't seen them yet.

I love the callback they made at the end of the season:
-Don't we know the real supergirl, arrow and flash? Why do we need to impersonate them?
-We should've made that crossover.

As much as Flash started fun, and I still follow it whenever a new season comes to my local version of Netflix, I prefer Legends because it is more lighthearted and looks at parts of the comics that normally don't get much attention. It also has better writing than many episodes of the Flash.

Warned? About what?

The first season they are really finding their footing; they don't have a good feel for the whole comedy/serious/camp and what they want to do with the show. But they really start to find their direction in Season 2.

By the time you get to seasons 3 & 4, it is a rollicking good time!

What is Your Favorite TV Show From The 80s?

Comment 1: You know what, the 80s were blah. The best TV show was ALL IN THE FAMILY!

Comment 2: Total Recall!
Nah, The Six Million Dollar Man.

Yea, I'd just skip season 1, read a recap, and jump right into season 2. Season 2 is good, and season 3 is, IMO, one of the single best seasons of the Berlanti-verse (alongside Flash Season 1 and Arrow Season 2).

I mean .... I always see advice like that. "Skip the first two seasons." Or "Don't both with the last season."

I've never been able to follow it myself. Even when the advice is correct, I'm very much an "in for a penny, in for a pound" kind of guy.

I used to be, but age and the sheer amount of material I could be watching has gotten me to move on quickly and focus on the good parts. Completionism is a mug's game. :)
