Would Avatar had been more acceptable if the main protagonist wasn't white?
Maybe, I mean, other than the one nerdy scientist and the pilot... scanning some screen shots I don't see any other people of color anywhere. Though the IMBD gives us a lot of them, cast as the native people.
So, having a more diverse cast might have been a good step. Allowing the native people to play a bigger role in saving themselves would have been better.
You know, the more I think about this movie, the more parts of it seem ridiculous. Remember how Sulley got to be the leader of the revolution? By taming that massive orange beast. Remember how he showed his tactical genius and cunning to capture it.... by simply flying higher than it and jumping onto its back.
Glad to know their sacred ritual to prove one is capable of being a great leader is as simple as "jump on its back when it can't see me"
