LotFP in financial dire straights?

Did he say that? I think originally it's from Correia getting booted from a con, and of course the alt-right crowd falls all over themselves parroting it.

I don't know if he ever said it himself, though it definitely wouldn't surprise. Also the phrase appears to be attributed not to Correia but friend-of-the-puppies John Ringo. A fun little piece of awful internet history.

My other guess would have been Ringo.

edit: Thinking about it, this could be a ploy for Raggi to bring Zak back in, by having him invest that money; because last thing I read from Raggi, it a long screed that was tldr; fu for not letting me work with Zak.

Well, whatever sympathy I could have garnered, it's quickly fading from the responses I'm seeing elsewhere. If you think LotFP will fail because of an effort of SJWs to harass conservatives and slander disproven claims against Zak (all statements I'm seeing), then you lost any sympathy I might have had.

Gotta say, it was news to me that SJW game companies were out harassing conservative gamers. 🤷‍♂️

Are they? Honestly, I don't know. I'm not the target of LotFP, I was raised more “no sex in the USSR” than "Vaginas are Magic" the only things I own by them are the core and Vornheim. I don't have anything against it, if that is what people are into. At the same time, did Raggi say he has autism? I won't say it feels good to see misfortune come to a mentally ill guy.

Why is the discussion on SF/Fantasy publishing issues from years ago and posts on other forums here? And why claims about certain types of posts being made elsewhere that are not true (Tenkar's Tavern has barely any posts on this subject, and the people there are not fans of LotFP's business handling nor the problem writer in question. I had not looked at that site in a couple of months and just went to look).

This has been an interesting niche publisher for quite a while, the books tend to be physically quite nice and several innovative authors got a good start with them. Always had an edgelord marketing angle and when something did miss it missed big. I have found a couple of their books really good (like Carcosa). I think the market just moved past some of what they were selling and that hurt them more than anything else.
