Dragonlance Dragonlance or Mystara?

If I had to choose between one of these two settings to run a 5E game, I'd choose. .

Mystara went hard on the fantasy weirdness and I do love my fantasy weirdness. It also has shapeshifting spider people, which is great

Dragonlance has some good bits but it also has a lot of problems, and being so heavily tied to one particular story and metaplot does not help it at all.

I would run Dragonlance. But I would remove/disregard the meta-plot entirely and fundementally change some parts of the lore.

at least it tries to be a little different than GreyhawkForgotten Realms, but I've got a bone to pick with dragonlance over kender & the poor handling of insertimg dragonborn into 4e eberron. I prefer a setting where I can run things a little more grounded than an endless march of world ending threats so probabaly wouldn't choose either

I always thought the main problem with Dragonlance is it's not very good. A large part of that is the races. Idiotic gully dwarves, KKK elves, Kender, Gnomes etc.

Throw in large amounts of chaotic and lawful stupid and blowing up the world.

When you want to drown half of them it might be a problem.

BIG fan of Mystara because it allows for a variety of adventure plots/sandboxes. Plus it's well supported at the Pandius site.

I'm not a fan of DL, but a DM that's passionate about a campaign could make up for this. My misgivings stem with a single Epic storyline that seems limiting and i don't find the races/species very inspiring (I think @Zardnaar nailed it)

Mystara. So much to explore, so many cultures, things above ground and below ground (even the moon and hollow world have things to do and adventures to experience.) Every survey when they ask what setting I would be interested in seeing I always add Mystara as my choice.
