D&D 5E Dhampir PCs as Vampire Hunters

Mind of tempest

(he/him)advocate for 5e psionics
A Blood Hunter Order of Ghost Slayer Dhampir PC character. Gets Rite of the Dawn, Ethereal Step, and Blood Curse of the Exorcist, and Rite Revival, which sounds all very vampireish/undead hunter. Radiant Damage from Rite of the Dawn also means said character is well suited for the Castlevania approach by being able to fight both undead AND demons/devils.
also maximum edge factor.

Legend
That the vampire is going to smack the dhamphir's behind with a long, thin lash like parents did in rural areas in the 1940's.

Which at vampire level strength if basically flensing...
Still happening today, BTW - known as "being taken behind the woodshed", and generally done with a willow rush.

I have a player in my Dragon Heist game that is basically playing a homebrewed version of the Dhampir now (we used half-elf as a base). He went shadow sorcerer and I gave him some vampire related facials as sort of a "magic item". His backstory is that he's the son of a Dread Lord of shadow fell that is basically Dracula from Castlevania, what with a whole vampiric court and whatnot that let's referenced a lot, though the party has yet to go there.

Another party member is basically playing someone heavily based on Trevor Belmont as well, monster hunter ranger with a whip and hand crossbow. It's been amusing to watch them roleplay off each other as the sorcerer has been mostly roleplaying as largely not understand how mortals work because he grew up in a realm controlled by vampires and doesn't quite understand a lot of common things like money or fire [a quirk he wanted for his dread domain is that fire doesn't work right there].
