Was Dark Tower their OAR-equivalent announcement? (And honestly, I have a hard time picturing a TSR module I'd be excited as seeing get updated at this point as Dark Tower.)

Sorry, I'm not a twitch person and don't have the patience to figure it out at the moment - can someone summarize what was covered, especially in regards to any OA announcement?

I do not believe anything else was announced. Their website only advertises the Dark Tower announcement.

They're always slow with their website and social media updates, for whatever reason, but everyone who "attended" says that Dark Tower appears to be it. But Dark Tower is pretty freaking great and points to the possibility, at least, that other Judges Guild material might get purchased in the future.

I'm not too familiar with the Judges Guild, and their website was quite sparse. Beyond the Caverns of Thracia, what other products are especially awesome?

I did remember the City State of the Invincible Overlord (not on their site, but just remembered this).

I'll add, that KS was funded in 2014 and has still not delivered. The comments on it point to it being a dismal failure. I think that combined with them selling off material to Goodman shows that the Judges Guild may be in hard financial straits.

The only good thing about that is that any funding that Judge Guild gaming gets, from sales of stuff like Tegal Manor 5E or what not, can ONLY be used towards the fulfilment of that Kickstarter and it's backers when the guy behind Judges Guild ever decides to be a decent human being and do what he was supposed to do. Frog God Games specifically had that clause added in regards to anything of Judge Guild games that was being sold.

Dark Tower, for starters, is amazing. It does Conan's Red Nails thing better than Lost City did, with competing groups inside the dungeon that players are well-advised to play off against each other, rather than take head on. And, like Conan, it brings in the war between Set and Mitra, with gobs of flavor that TSR's Deities and Demigods simply scratched the surface of. It's honestly one of the best modules ever, as has been said.

The other adventures are a mixed bag and really reflect the early days of their creation. The Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor and Citadel of Fire both have good bones, but they do things like say "this room has 40 level 20 thieves in it," which is a lot, in multiple ways. Tegel Manor is spoken of fondly, and is a funhouse haunted house dungeon, although I've never played it and didn't really love the funhouse dungeon below Castle Ravenloft in I6.

Other than Dark Tower, City State of the Invincible Overlord is almost certainly the other jewel in the Judges Guild crown and the thing to hope that Goodman is able to purchase next.

Beyond knowing it is famous, I actually don't know why the City State of the Invincible Overlord is popular. Is it a module? A setting? Both?
