D&D 5E Where in FR do you want the next big adventure book to go?

I really think that either Rashemen and Thay, or Cormyr and Sembia and the Dales, is the most likely, if they go out of the Sword Coast. If they stay in/near the SC, Neverwinter. It, or things connected to it, has/have been referenced a lot in 5e, and I really doubt they care at this point about whether a thing was big in 4e.
An adventure set in Neverwinter (with a requisite gazetteer section) wouldn't be amiss. Though I'd really like for them to expand beyond the SC more and further.

CCC program is no more.
Since when? There's new CCC published adventures (in the Moonshaes no less) that came out this very month!

I wouldn't rule out the Moonshae Isles or Neverwinter, for any reason here. Just because AL has dipped it's toes into an area doesn't put it off limits. The Moonshae Isles are actually quite large.

34 and counting AL-legal published adventures AND an AL-legal regional guild from the same team? That's hardly "dipped it's toes into an area."

Moonshae Isles has more support in 5e than most WotC-published areas.

They're not going to do an AL season there. The Realms are very large, and there's a divide and conquer mentality to covering the setting this edition.

That’s not quite like the CCC program any of the rest of us for our own conventions could do.

With the advent of Dungeoncraft AL adventures witch are limited to tight “seeds” and templates.

While the adventures from Baldman Games and Gameholecon still have the CCC in their title they were very different than the normal CCC content. They didn’t go through that programs approval/creation process and they were in areas given exclusively to Baldman Games and Gameholecon. One of the authors for the Gameholecon adventures is in my D&D group.

It does look like the DC adventures are probably pretty good. And maybe while not quite as diverse as the CCC ones the program looks like it may have some great content.

but the CCC program, the one for the rest of us not part of Baldman Games or Gameholecon, is over.

The Baldman Games Moonshae AL adventures are fantastic. And absolutely with anyone’s time. It’s a huge boon we have them. Same thing for the Gameholecon Border Kingdoms content.

And while WotC could change thier mind and do something there, I very much doubt they would. Baldman Games was giving exclusivity and WotC won’t take that away from a valued partner like them.

Thanks for the clarity on the ending of CCC.

My point really was that the there's tons of content in the Border Kingdoms, the Moonshae Isles, and the Moonsea, all of which are semi-official content for 5e Realmslore, and thus they are HIGHLY unlikely to be the setting locations for a future WotC adventure path and AL season.

Is there any sort of regional sourcebook about the Moonsea based on this material? I know about the Moonshae and Border Kingdoms books, but I don't want to have to buy two dozen adventure modules I'm not going to run to get the setting content.

Unfortunately, I know of no official Moonsea regional sourcebook.

I'd recommend the 1995 2e AD&D accessory "Moonsea" for general background; there's VERY little edition/system related statistics in that booklet, though it isn't up to date with the turn of the edition. You could also check out the 3.5e "Mysteries of the Moonsea," though I personally am not familiar with the content of the book and couldn't vouch for how much is flavour text and setting description and how much is taken up by 3.5e-specific stats. Again, the book is going to be a century and change out of date due to the advancing of the timeline for the Spellplague and its undoing, though visually there's not much different between 3.5e Realms and 5e Realms (as opposed to the pretty different 4e Realms).

And the AL admins have put out this free document updating the town of Mulmaster post-Elemental Evil. City Guide: Mulmaster - Dungeon Masters Guild | Dungeon Masters Guild

Finally, do check out the AL Season 9 Content Catalogue, as it has maps and details of the Moonsea towns and settings featured in the AL and a selection of CCC adventures listed and hyperlinked to the DMs Guild. The The CCs from Season 3 to Season 9 did this; the Season 10 CC only features the content for the Icewind Dale and Dreams of the Red Wizards storylines.

The thing is, no manual of the Moonsea will be up to date because the Moonsea is the living setting of Adventurer's League, both the (now discontinued) CCC adventures, and most of the WotC-published AL and EP (and old EN and EX) adventures.
