D&D 5E $165 Priced Hardcover D&D 2022 Book(s?) Leaked on Amazon

Would four to five months be enough time to actually incorporate feedback from the class survey into a revised PHB? Between processing the surveys, making design decisions about what to change, adjusting formatting to accommodate the changes, and actually getting the books printed and distributed, that would strike me as quite a fast turnaround time.

They don't have to redo everything so yes, very much so. Races are easily, there likely won't be a ton of changes to many of the races, mostly tweeks and formating them to Tasha's style and maybe adding popular stuff from other books like races & subraces from XGTE, MToF, and other sources.

If the price is indeed correct, it's likely either reprints/revisions of current books, or a set of new books that will also be (perhaps not immediately) available for separate purchase (perhaps a Planescape/Spelljammer set of two or more books - still separated, but they are thematically similar)

The only exception I could see would be a premium Forgotten Realms set, where if you want to forgo the premium pricing and go cheap and basic, SCAG is available...

Yes, it could be an FR box set. One thing I've considered inspired by Chronicles of Darkness 2e's setting books like Changeling the Lost is it could be a Stand Alone Forgotten Realms Setting Box set, with the rules and stuff from the core books integrated into the box set so it has everything you need to play in FR, a huge campaign setting book, the rules for playing D&D, monsters, etc..., so need to own the core set, everything comes complete.

I took another look at the product on my Canadian Amazon ap and it's already got reviews!

But they are borrowed reviews for the Aquisitians Incorporated book, including one pick of the race from that book.

It could be just a glitch or could whatever box set this is include Aquisitians Incorporated, the SCAG, and a new big Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting Book?

Wow.. that's pretty screwy. But Amazon's review system is notorious for being exploited. Mistake? Bad actors? Who knows.
It's a shame that's happening, though.

It's weird that it has reviews of the Acquisition Inc. book. Seems like a really odd slip-up for Amazon.

When I bought my PC off Amazon in 2019, it was part of a bundle that came with accessories, and this bundle which I bought if I remember correctly had reviews from individual accessories bought separately from the bundle included in the PC bundles reviews. Like reviews from folks who bought the mouse separately.

So that was why I think AI is included in this product, whatever it is, and trust me that isn't wishful thinking as I strongly dislike AI and their book even less.

It could actually be pretty neat to get a Campaign Setting, Adventure, and Player Options for a given world as a boxed set. What world would warrant that, given that we already have a laundry list of Forgotten Realms adventures? Dark Sun? Planescape?
I think you may be onto something. We know we're getting settings in a heretofore unseen (in 5e) format. A boxed set containing a setting-specific player's guide, DM's guide, and monster book seems to fit that bill, as well as the $165 bill. I could see such a boxed set working well for Dark Sun, since a big part of its identity is lacking certain races and classes that are core in 5e, as well as having a lot of setting-specific new options for races and classes. And such a release would be a great place to expand on psionics... Damn, I hope this is it!
