Welcome to Level Up, a standalone game which enhances the 5E ruleset which you know and love. If you love 5E but would like a little more depth to the rules, Level Up is the new game for you!

After two years of extensive public playtests and surveys involving thousands of players, and input from our active community, we have completely overhauled the 5E game system. From redesigned classes to a full exploration pillar, we've revisited every aspect of the game to present this new standalone iteration of the 5th Edition core rules.

• Core set. The core set consists of three books -- the Adventurer's Guide (characters, and the core rules), Trials & Treasure (magic items, exploration and journeys, and gamemastery), and the Monstrous Menagerie (monsters!)
• A little more. For those who want more, there are two more books -- Adventures in ZEITGEIST (a world/setting book) and Mythological Figures & Maleficent Monsters (a book of legendary heroes and villains from our own world's myths and cultures).
• These are modular enough so that if you just want the monsters, or our new class overhauls, or our exploration rules, you can buy a single book. It's all compatible with 5E and will work with your other 5E books!

The easy way to monitor progress on the Kickstarter is to look at the Level Up promo on the right-hand side of ENWorld pages. It gives the latest amount (maybe delayed a few seconds?) in GBP - no conversions needed!

Is there a count comparison between how many monsters are in the 5e MM vs in the A5E MM?
Also, is there a reason (licensing?) you guys didn't do Kythons?

Eh, bigger problem: I only have one credit card (on purpose) and Kickstarter doesn't take Discover... or at least not for UK-based projects. I think I ran into this when trying to back the Wandering Inn's comic book also and probably gave up.
Can I get the hardback Monstrous Menagerie post-kickstarter?

Just pulled the trigger on the 3 core pdfs, despite my brain yelling at me that I still haven't really read the last 3 kickstarter RPG books I backed. I can't resist a good bestiary, and if I'm getting that, well, I may as well get the core rulebook to see how the PCs play against the new monsters. And if I'm getting both of those, then what's the harm in getting the full trio...

Yeah, the T&T book at first seems like the most skippable, until you realise that Explorations Challenges are probably one of the best innovations and are the easiest thing to port into a 5e game without anyone noticing that you're doing anything "houserule". Same with the magic items - give a player one from that book, they're probably not going to notice or complain that they're not "cannon".

Quick question (don’t know if this is answered elsewhere in the thread (I only skimmed it) and forgive my ignorance; i’ve never backed a Kickstarter before).

If I’m in the US, do I need to do anything unusual to back this? The kick starter page has all the prices in pounds. If I just clicked back can I just use my credit card to back it in US dollars or do I need to do something unusual?

It looks awesome and I want to get in there and back it – I just need to know how!
