Hmm, with 7 players going for 6 ability scores, that's 42 needed. There's 4 per category for 24 plus 5 wild, and the gauntlets of ogre power as a immediate sub-in. So that's 30 set scores for the 42 needed. There are also 6 +2 scores, but nothing says those will be used by people with 8s. So we're looking at 30-36 scores out of 42 - there will be 8-16 stats starting at 8 before being modified by the bottom chart. A bit less than two 8s per character. That's not judging, just looking at what we have.

Though remember that nine of the "bonus/misc" items have stat boosts included, which could be used either to boost good scores or shore up weak ones.
