Living in self imposed isolation for countless years, Hollywood was the caretaker of the shrine of the Forestmaster. No one imposed this duty upon him, but rather he took it upon himself. Hollywood stumbled upon the ancient ruin while out hunting. How he - or any of his people - had never found this ancient grove before is a mystery, but he was grateful for the experience. Filled with a sense of serene tranquility, Hollywood dedicated his life to taking care of the grove and the shrine at its heart.
During the first few years of his guardianship, Hollywood attempted to renew interest in the ancient shrine. Despite his best efforts, it remains mostly forgotten and ignored by the elves of his homeland. Solitude became the new normal for Hollywood. When in the company of others, he frequently gets lost in his own thoughts and contemplation, often oblivious to his own surroundings. The decades of isolation have left Hollywood to take a 'Live and Let Live' attitude. Meddling in the affairs of others only causes trouble - if you can get there attention in the first place.
Hollywood still seeks the enlightenment he pursued when he first discovered the grove, and it still eludes him. However, one day during his meditations, the Forestmaster spoke to him and told him to seek out the Circle of the Moon. The Keepers of the Circle would continue his teachings and to send him out into the world to be a more active guardian of nature. However, now that he has returned to the world, Hollywood enjoys its delights a little too much.
