Level Up (A5E) Preview the Artificer

We now have 284 of the 500 subscribers we need to launch the Gate Pass Gazette. In the meantime we've been working on the (free) Issue 1 -- we have the Artificer and the Construct already nearly finished! There's a preview below (which might change before print).

That’s what it looks like… but they also get spell levels significantly slower than warlock, so I’m guessing that they won’t be directly analogous.

I might be missing something but how many spells does an artificer know? A level one artificer can craft two spell inventions per long rest (ie, memorise two spells). Those inventions are chosen from the artificer list. Which kinda implies that the artificer knows all of them. Which is a cool mix of wizard generalist and warlock pewpew. Am i getting this right?

artificers are basically clerics in this regard - they don't KNOW spells, they PREPARE spells from the entire list (well, and turn them into spell inventions, but that's not relevant to the question so).
...so basically yes artificers know all their spells
