Good humans.

Dwarfs.
I got to respect the whisky and the not having a stereotypical accent.Dwarves. I'm short, bearded, stubborn, and love whiskey. None of them ever have Scottish accents, either.
Gnomes and Tieflings are up there, too. Gnomes because they hit a lot of the same checkboxes as dwarves, but don't have the aforementioned "Scottish Viking" tropes burdening them. Tieflings are just plain cool-looking; I blame growing up watching Tim Curry in Legend.
lot of dwarf love I see anyone care to help me understand?Good humans.
Dwarfs.
I’ve always preferred dwarfs with the Prussian/German vibe rather than the Scottish-Viking vibe.I got to respect the whisky and the not having a stereotypical accent.
Movie from the ’80s with Tim Curry as the devil.what is legend?
In most classic fantasy everyone is all goody-goody and the dwarfs are the cranky short jerks with big beards. So they stand out and weirdly become the most relatable fantasy character. They’re imperfect compared to the pure amazing that is the standard human protagonist of classic fantasy stories. So they’re the most human.lot of dwarf love I see anyone care to help me understand?
A good human is a fantasy. Therefore they are one of my favorite fantasy sapients.also what do you mean by good humans?
but what makes cranky short jerks appealing beyond that as there has to be something about there strengths people like? as otherwise, we would all just play goblins or something.I’ve always preferred dwarfs with the Prussian/German vibe rather than the Scottish-Viking vibe.
