How busy is [the story hour] forum? Does it see lots of action? Has it ever?

Well, I am not Morrus and I am not even a mod anymore, but as someone who started out as a mod for Eric Noah who only moderated the story hour forum, I would say it used to have a lot of traffic and a lot new and continuing story hours. Heck there was a time when word of a new installment of PirateCat or Sagiro's story hour had everyone rushing there to read it.

It was still pretty active when I stepped down as mod and stopped posting my own story hours back in 2009 - but these days it does seem like a ghost forum.

To answer this post's question:

I have the D&D subforum directly bookmarked. I check there first and then visit other forums on occasion (but not all that often).

When do I appear?

1. When I see an interesting topic through the "Community" (all forums, new posts).

2. When my name is repeated three times.

3. When the perfidiousness of Bards is attempted to be refuted.

4. When there is a required enumeration of the different types of soul-less, dead-eyed elves that need a reckoning.

5. When pizzas must be defended from pineapples.

6. When someone invokes imaginary places, like Atlantis, New Zealand, Cimmeria, and Canada.

I have the Dungeons and Dragons sub-forum bookmarked, as it’s the main place I read and interact with. I will occasionally pop over to the Character Builds or TTRPG General tabs but only briefly.

So this has me curious. You say "that's where the action is", but the D&D forum is--by definition--less busy than the main feed which covers all the forums. By "the action" do you mean the topics you're interested in, or the volume of traffic? Because both of those are going to be in the main feed. Or do you mean something different?
The topic I’m interested in. The main feed includes thing I don’t care about, so I don’t use it.
