D&D 5E D&D and who it's aimed at

WotC are a business, so they put in what is popular.

If what you like isn't poplar, then there is no reason anyone should make it for you. That's capitalism.
I know, you love to defend and promote a capitalist take, but it's the easy path to zzz for me. ;)

If Wizard's isnt aiming for me (and no, I do not believe they are) then fine, that is the point of this thread. 'Who its aimed at.'

The answer isnt 'everyone'. Clear. Concise. Perfect.

Its pop radio. Sure, I can get behind that take.

Businesses who do not make things that are popular very quickly make nothing at all. Do not think that you would get what you want if capitalism went away. The universe owes you nothing.

No, the point of this thread is it isn't aimed exclusively at children. It quite clearly isn't aimed at everyone, nor should it be. That would be nonsensical.

Yes yes, bow to our capitalist overlords, thank them for providing the goods we need to distract from the fact the universe owes us nothing. ;)

Capitalism isn't some abstract evil overlords. It's people. Ordinary people trying to make a living. Capitalism is "I do something for you and you do something for me in return". Even if people wanted to make you free games and expect nothing in return your supply of free stuff would soon dry up when they starved to death.

Hey, don't blame Wizards for playing by the rules of the system. They didn't invent capitalism, but they still have to follow the rules. Just like the rest of us. You participate in capitalism. The fact that WotC has to pursue what is popular over what you would enjoy because it wouldn't be monetarily viable to make under capitalism isn't WotC's fault. It's capitalism's.

Wizards is aiming at everyone

The issue many have is that they aren't getting the amount of attention they want.

There is a lot of everyone and the attention definitely isn't equal to all groups. So it takes a while before you get a second look.
