Coming in late to the discussion about Odyssey of the Dragonlords - but my gripe with it is that (on paper) the enemies seem very underpowered. You have numerous solo monsters who get a single attack. Sure, it's likely to hit and the damage is high, but that's easily nerfed since it's only one attack - and very simply healed if it hits. Perhaps worse, it doesn't threaten the whole party, so it doesn't engage the whole table.
