Copies of Spelljammer are starting to show up. Mike Long of Tribality is in receipt of the books and has tweeted some photos!
Yeah, and it's a little bit annoying that they called it that, since there's also a spell of the same name that does something different. Of course, it's not the first time they've done that (e.g. devil's sight).Notice that the psionic combat mode of Intellect Fortress here improves AC. Sorta like Monk Unarmored Defense.
Right, in Tashas. Intellect Fortress, slot-3 spell: mental save advantage, psychic resistance.Yeah, and it's a little bit annoying that they called it that, since there's also a spell of the same name that does something different. Yeah. Most, if not all, intelligent humanoids should be this way (with maybe a very weak tendency in a particular direction). That is if they don't remove alignment completely - which at this stage I would prefer. The humanoid races really are "any alignment". They are totally like humans, with a mix of different people doing different things. Lawful Evil, Neutral, Chaotic Good, whatever.
I find I like this alot.
As a DM, I found that seeing one NPC astral elf is Lawful Evil, and an other NPC astral elf is Chaotic Neutral, to be a powerfully efficient use of two words, to convey a sensibility to roleplay them. By itself, it is minimal, even binary. But when reading the character description and the social encounter, the alignment helpfully colors information.Yeah. Most, if not all, intelligent humanoids should be this way (with maybe a very weak tendency in a particular direction).
