D&D (2024) Playtest Survey due date pushed to the 26th

Another possibility is that simply not enough people have filled the survey in yet. I know I haven't, despite being a tremendous scoundrel with infinite opinions! So I guess that's good. I'm off for a couple of weeks, hopefully I'll get around to it.
More people have appearntly done the survey then every survey for the playtest. So I am guessing lack of feedback is not an issue.

Possibly they were seeing a lower than expected percentage of surveys that indicated actual playtesting of the rules, and are hoping that an extended deadline will give more groups time to try the rules.

Can people who initially said they hadn't playtested it yet go back and take the survey again after they playtest it?

I believe there is an Id tag from DnDBeyond. So if you can they’ll know it was you again, unless you do some shenanigans, probably, maybe.

Since they know who opted into downloading the packet, that they would like a higher percentage to provide some feedback if the entire future of D&D is in the balance.
Yeah this would be my guess - they're not happy with how many people have responded so far. I mean, I'm biased but it's why my firm has extended surveys before, and weirdly enough it usually works - give people another week or two and a lot more people come through, with some products anyway.

They might be looking for a larger survey sample for another reason. I imagine that with such a limited original survey time that a large number of initial respondents were partisans with an axe to grind about one issue or another (myself being one of them.) More casual players may take longer to get back to doing the survey so they may just want to get more typical players input before shutting down. Two weeks is an awfully short time for such a large packet with so many changes for more normal type players. Addressing the new mechanics along with the new background system just takes a longer time to absorb.
